Iphone speaker problem. help plz?

ok heres the deal i just jailbroke and unlocked the iphone its a 3gs in version 4.1 but when i call someone i have to put it on speaker to hear them or headphones. i cant just use the phone itself. the phone is not water damaged either. any help is appericated! thank you
